Hello there! Thanks for stopping by!
My name is Sharon. I’m twenty-four years old, which means I have six years (technically five and a half) before the big three oh. I graduated, like most people my class, at twenty-two. Soon after, I packed up my bags and headed out into the world.
What Is This Blog About
Over the years, friends and family have reached out to me, asking about my lifestyle choices. Unlike others, I was very sure about my future. It was going to involve a lot of traveling, a lot of learning, and not a lot of money (for the time being). I didn’t want to follow the traditional route – getting a degree, choosing a career, getting married, having babies, raising those babies, and retiring later in life. I wasn’t going to wait until I was sixty or seventy to live how I wanted to live as a twenty-year-old. So, I hightailed out of California and landed in Japan.
On my blog, I want to share some things I picked up along the way for people who have hopes to see and experience more abroad. If you want more than that two-week vacation, consider volunteering, interning, working, or studying abroad for an extended period of time.
I believe that world travel is for everyone, at any time, in any way. I will be spending the rest of my twenties (at least!) on the constant move, from one country to the next. Every day, I’m meeting cool people with amazing stories, learning and teaching something new, and living life exactly the way I imagined it should be.
