Hello there! Thanks for stopping by!

My name is Sharon. I’m twenty-six years old, which means I have four years before the big three oh. I graduated at twenty-two, packed up my bags, and headed out into the world.

Over the years, friends and family have reached out to me, asking about my lifestyle choices. Unlike others, I was very sure about my future. It was going to involve a whole lot of traveling, learning, and adventure. I didn’t want to follow the traditional route – getting a degree, choosing a career, getting married, and so on. At least, not yet. I wasn’t going to wait until I was sixty or seventy to live how I wanted to live as a twenty-year-old. So, I hightailed out of California and landed in Japan. And then in Korea.

On my blog, I want to share some things I picked up along the way for people who have hopes to see and experience more abroad. I’m a huge advocate for international education and global citizenship education. If you want more than that two-week vacation, consider volunteering, interning, working, or studying abroad for an extended period of time.

I believe that world travel is for everyone, at any time, in any way.  I will be spending the rest of my twenties (at least!) on the constant move, from one country to the next. Every day, I’m meeting cool people with amazing stories, learning and teaching something new, and living life exactly the way I imagined it should be lived.
